SHDF Wave 2.2 Funding Package Announced

Hi, and welcome to our SHDF Wave 2.2 information page. We've got a brief run-down of the information available to-date, with links for further guidance and support. We're expecting the bidding competition to open in mid November, and details of exactly what is required will be released (we hope) over the next few weeks in the government guidance document. But you can still start making plans and compiling information (in fact, we recommend you do). This way you're ready to move as quickly as possible once the competition opens.
GOV.UK
The SHDF page on gov.uk gives you information on the eligibility criteria for Wave 2.2 (you can also scroll down this page for a brief overview), and proposed timelines. You need to scroll down to the section on Wave 2.2, and once the government's guidance document is released you'll be able to access it from this page. So it's worth saving it as a bookmark and referring to it whenever necessary.
SHRA
The Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator (SHRA) website has lots of useful tools, events and support designed specifically to help you with your SHDF bids. There's a wealth of information available as well as handy 'toolkits' and potentially 1-to-1 support too. Again, it's worth bookmarking the page - you're likely to need to refer back to it throughout the bidding process.
ELIGIBILITY IN BRIEF
This is what we understand so far, but undoubtedly there will be further details once the guidance document is released.1. Organisations that already have funding under SHDF Wave 2.1 are NOT eligible for Wave 2.2 funding.2. All existing social housing below EPC band C is eligible.3. Proposals must contain at least 100 eligible properties (ie, bands D-G), although there are hints you may be able to request a relaxation of this requirement under certain circumstances.4. If you have fewer than 100 properties you are urged to make a joint bid with other social landlords.5. Bids are open to the following types of organisation:
- Local authorities
- Combined authorities
- Housing associations
- Arms-length management organisations (ALMOs) that are registered providers of social housing
- Registered charities that own social housing.
